Chris and Luke Cookie Baking Day Odenton, MD December 22, 2023 |
One of the family Christmas traditions is to conduct a cookie baking day just before the main event. Cookies are a staple of Christmas and although we do not make the classic frosted sugar cookies anymore, the variety of cookies that come out of the kitchen in a relatively short period of time are truly mouthwatering.
And of course, I have a strict limit on the number of cookies that I am allowed to consume. Well, that is if anyone is watching.
Yesterday, in the kitchen there was a very special cool--our youngest grandson, Luke, joined in on the fun with Grandma and Aunt Ginger. I was able to steer clear of the kitchen and only enjoy the fruits of their labors.
They had a lot of fun for a couple hours and I had some time to myself--to wrap gifts!
It is hard to believe that Christmas Eve is tomorrow and that is like the start of a great race. We have nearly every hour of the next two days closely planned and coordinated across numerous family units to get everything accomplished--and, of course, to enjoy the holiday.
Merry Christmas to all!
I think all of the presents are purchased.
Publishing note: I do not expect to publish a Monday Musings on Christmas Day.
