After the Sun Sets

 I drove to the beach last evening after the sun had set just because I had not been there in a while. I determined to visit both the ICW and the ocean. There is a place where I can walk across Jupiter Island and do just that in less than five minutes.

The heat of the day had dissipated a bit and the crowds likewise departed.

It was nice to be on the beach. I waded into the ICW and stood there enjoying the warm water on my feet and a light breeze on my shoulders. The lights at the base of the lighthouse were just visible as dusk deepened. A person was on the water, likewise enjoying the end of day.

It was peaceful. The ocean beach was much more expansive than I expected, but there were no turtle nests marked. Usually at this time of year turtle nests abound on the beach. I wonder if they have reduced their nesting protection efforts?

I tarried for a bit before heading back to the car and then to home. I needed the peaceful scenes to recenter myself.
